Men to discuss "Healthy Relationships" and address other things all women need to know, during "Loving From the Inside Out" on October 11th.
[Minneapolis, MN October 3, 2008.] You don't want miss it! New for 2008 by popular demand: a panel discussion with a diverse mix of men (Terry Austin, Rev. Melvin Miller, Kevin Mason, Nate Russell, Alex Hines, Mark Robinson and more!) the topic: Healthy Relationships: What in the world do Men Really Want? and How does a Woman Who Loves Herself from the Inside Out Fit in the picture? The panel will be moderated by LaTracey Copeland (Capstone Experience) and Nancia Leath (author and mental health specialist from Atlanta). All Men are invited to come, register for the lunch (only$35), visit the Market Place, support the Silent Auction benefiting the Emmett Till Legacy Scholarship fund and experience this dynamic discussion. The luncheon is at noon- 2 p.m. with a book signing with keynote speaker Dr. Michele Hoskins immediately following. The panel discussion will take place at approximately 3:30 p.m.on Saturday Oct 11th.
We encourage all women to invest in your self and come for the entire days life changing experience! Starting at 8 a.m and closing at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Saturday Oct 11th.
"Loving From the Inside Out" goes beyond superficial beauty and brings together a diverse mix of women of faith, color, culture, character, style and substance, coming from urban, suburban, rural, out state and metro areas into a safe and nurturing atmosphere of love, trust and confidence. This symposium deals with the inner self and helps women create and have the love, health, wealth, career, representation and ultimately the life they've always wanted and deserved. Women will be inspired by the testimonies and advice from a host of dynamic speakers who will include; Rev. Christy Simmons, Dr. Jennifer Warren, author Mary Whitney and Deborah Watts.
A Special "Loving From the inside out" performance by Lutunji (a Woman Who Jam! performer) will follow the early morning pampering party hosted by Antoinette Williams of Rituals and Deborah LaCoste a health, wellness and wealth building specialist from Chicago). Robyne Robinson, FOX 9 News anchor will Host the "Woman of Courage" Awards Luncheon during the 3rd Annual women's empowerment symposium, "Loving From The Inside Out". in honor of Mamie Till Mobley on October 11th with keynote speaker, author, CEO of Michele Foods, 3 time featured guest on Oprah, Dr. Michele Hoskins.
The 2008 Woman of Courage Awardees are: actress and recording artist - Jevetta Steele, former Mayor of Minneapolis - Sharon Sayles Belton, Judge LaJune Lange and Senator Mee Moua. MN Lynx to host "Who Calls the Shots?" Event in Partnership with Emmett Till Legacy Foundation
09/03/08 - MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - In anticipation of the 2008 Minnesota state primaries and general elections, the Minnesota Lynx today announced a partnership with the Emmett Till Legacy Foundation to host the organization's "Who Calls the Shots?" event.
Prior to the Lynx game on Friday, Sept. 12, against the Phoenix Mercury, prospective voters will have the chance to participate in a question-and-answer session with many of the Twin Cities' key public officials and decision-makers. The discussion will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. and will be held in the hospitality room on the suite level of Target Center.
The civic-engagement event will serve as an educational opportunity for new and potential voters to explore how significant decisions are made and how those decisions can impact their futures. Young professionals and all others who are now eligible to vote will also be able to register to vote at the event.
Participants who are 18 years old and younger will receive a ticket to the game and a Lynx gift bag. Adults who are 19 years old and up can attend the event for only $10, which also includes a ticket to the game. All "Who Call the Shots?" attendees will be invited to stay for a postgame autograph session with Lynx players.
In addition to the "Who Calls the Shots?" event, the Lynx will promote voter participation during their two remaining regular season games through on-site registration, displays, arena messaging and public service announcements.
