TV Journalist and Honorary Ambassador Dara McIntosh will be the Mistress of Ceremonies for the 55th anniversary gala. She will unveil video presentations from supporters of the historic event and read remarks for the family of Emmett Till.


IT’S AN EMMETT TILL WEEKEND:
Saturday August 28th, 2010 -
1:00pm-3:30pm: ETLF will launch the Never Again Movement and Pledge at a community gathering and youth rally in the parking lot of the Greater Salem Baptist Church at 215 S 71st. (71st street and Wentworth). On the same day, the actual day of Emmett Till’s lynching, the Foundation will support the Emmett Till Commemoration Initiatives with a silent march (wearing black and white) for “Hands Across Emmett Till Memorial Bridge”. 
3:00cst./4:00cst: The nation is being asked to pause for a moment of silence.


Sunday, August 29th 2010 at 2:30pm: The ETLF Time of Reflection and Remembrance weekend concludes . with a graveside wreath ceremony at Burr Oak Cemetery (4400 W. 127th Street, Alsip, IL) honoring Mamie Till Mobely and Emmett Till.
